Introducing our SOS Balm for new mums from MommySpa.
Many new mothers complain of sore, cracked nipples, chapped lips during breastfeeding, or inflamed scars . The 100% natural SOS Balm puts an end to all of these problems. Thanks to the concentrated vegan active ingredients from a healing blend of plants and herbs, the melt-in-the-mouth formula accelerates wound healing while preventing sore skin.
At the heart of the melt-in-the-mouth formula is nutrient-rich organic cupuaçu butter , which binds four times its own weight in water, providing intense hydration and moisture. Its extremely high water absorption capacity is even significantly higher than that of lanolin (a common ingredient in nipple ointments—but not vegan!), making cupuaçu butter an extremely moisturizing component for vegan natural cosmetics. Thanks to ingredients such as phytosterols, antioxidants, and vitamin E, cupuaçu butter is credited with wound-healing, antibacterial, and regenerating properties and is therefore often used in healing ointments.
In combination with skin-protecting organic shea butter , affectionately known in Africa as the precious “women’s gold,” the skin’s moisture retention is regulated, irritations are soothed, and skin regeneration is promoted. Shea butter is particularly rich in oleic acids such as palmitic acid, linoleic acid, and stearic acid, which work together to insulate against environmental influences, bind moisture, promote cell regeneration, and keep the skin soft and supple. Sensitive skin, which often reacts sensitively to chemical ingredients, particularly benefits from the rich plant fat of the miracle balm shea butter.
An equally important component of the texture is cold-pressed organic olive oil. In folk medicine, it is considered the base oil for healing ointments because it is rich in essential fatty acids, which resemble the skin’s own lipids and thus contribute to cell repair and regeneration. Rich in many valuable minerals and important trace elements, these provide an antiseptic effect, disinfect the skin, and simultaneously promote wound healing.
Chamomile extract soothes and cares for dry, flaky, or chapped skin, reduces inflammation and itching, and promotes scar-free healing of minor injuries. Thanks to the extraction process, it is non-allergenic and therefore particularly skin-friendly .
The SOS Balm is rounded off with skin-protecting vitamin E , which helps maintain the skin’s natural barrier function, repairs small cracks, and promotes cell regeneration, making it more resistant to bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. Vitamin E also has an antioxidant effect, so with regular use, the skin builds a kind of protective barrier against external influences.
